Before & After Care

We strongly suggest that you read each of these instructions carefully and even print them out for you to reference.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. Our goal is to provide you with as much information in order for you to make an educated decision.

BEFORE ALL PROCEDURES

  • No laser treatments, IPL’s, facial peels, microdermabrasions, Fraxel, MRI treatments 4-6 weeks prior and after procedures.
  • Do Not take Aspirin, Fish oils, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen, or blood thinners (unless medically necessary), 72 HOURS Prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
  • Do Not use growth enhancement products such as LATISSE, Grandelash/BROW, Revitalash, etc., 1 month prior and after treatment. Eyeliner clients must refrain for a minimum of 2 months.
  • Botox should be either be done 3 weeks prior your procedure and/or your after procedure. Consult with you physician prior.
  • Avoid caffeine or alcohol 24 HRS prior to your procedure.
  • Do Not exercise or sweat the day of your procedure.
  • Avoid the sun and do not have a tan prior to your procedure.
  • Refrain from topical creams such as AHA’s, glycolics, retin-a, etc. around the treatment area 1 to 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • Any tinting of lashes or brows must be done 72HRS prior to your procedure.
  • Be aware that smoking will affect your anesthetics and your pigment will fade prematurely.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT CERTAIN MEDICATIONS AND CREAMS CAN ALTER OR SHIFT YOUR PIGMENT COLOR AND EFFECT HEALING AND RETENTION. PLEASE INFORM YOUR TECHNICIAN IF YOUR ARE ON ANY SUCH MEDICATIONS.

HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR MICROBLADING / OMBRE BROW PROCEDURE

  • Please do come into either your consult or your appointment sans face make up and with your eyebrows penciled in how you like them(optional.) I will be mindful to your personal preferences and take into consideration the look you want but please note we will also give my professional input as well. We will work together to reach your desired shape and color.
  • Please wax, thread, tint, or bleach your eyebrows 72 Hrs prior to your procedure. We will not perform the procedure if you have tinted the day of your procedure as it can affect your results.
  • Please be aware that no two sides of the face are perfectly symmetrical. Every care is taken by measuring your facial features and bone structure to create as much symmetry as possible.
  • If there are any blemishes, rashes, sunburn, or skin irritation of any kind, we will not perform the procedure at this time until the area is clear. No Exceptions.
NOTE: PLEASE BE AWARE DUE TO THE FACT EACH PERSON’S HEALING PERIOD AND RETENTION VARIES FROM CLIENT TO CLIENT. IT IS BEST ADVISED TO SCHEDULE YOUR TREATMENT APPOINTMENTS AND FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS ACCORDINGLY TO YOUR WORK/ SOCIAL CALENDAR. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BE MINDFUL WHEN BOOKING AROUND IMPORTANT EVENTS,(i.e. WEDDINGS, VACATIONS, ETC.) AS THERE IS NO SET TIME FRAME ON EACH INDIVIDUAL’S HEALING PROCESS.

BEFORE AND AFTER CARE FOR LASH LIFTS

Beforecare
  • No eyelash curlers or water proof mascara for 5 days prior to your appointment.
  • Please come to your appointment without mascara and clean lashes.
  • Please remove your lash extensions before receiving your lash lift.
Aftercare
  • No direct water on your lashes for 24 hours.
  • No exercise, steam, pools, or saunas for 24 hours. Even when cooking over the stove try to avoid any steam.
  • No oil-based make-up removers or cleansers. We recommend Neutrogena Oil-free Make up Remover.
  • No false strip lashes or extensions for 1 week. Note: Strip lashes will manipulate your curl and shorten the longevity of your lift. If you wish to add more lashes for volume, lash extensions are preferred and recommended after your lash lift treatment.
  • If possible, try to sleep on your back the first night and avoid sleeping on your stomach as it may manipulate  the lift on your lashes.

AFTERCARE FOR ALL PROCEDURES

DO NOT PICK, RUB, EXFOLIATE, OR SCRATCH THE AREA . PICKING CAN LIFT YOUR COLOR & POSSIBLY CAUSE AN INFECTION OR SCARRING
  • No laser treatments, IPL’s, facial peels, microdermabrasions, Fraxel, MRI treatments 4-6 weeks prior and after procedures.
  • No water (brows 10-14 days)
  • No swimming
  • No publicwater-beaches, lakes, pools
  • No saunas, steam rooms, or hot yoga
  • No exertion that cause you to sweat
  • No exercise (brows 10-14 days)
  • No makeup, creams, cleansers, or ointments (unless specified by your technician) on the treated area
  • No retin-a, glycolics , ahas around the treated area for 2 weeks
  • No sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks.Please wear protective wear (hats & eyewear) and SPF to limit exposure if you need to be outdoors
  • No facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
  • No botox for 4 weeks
  • No waxing, tinting, or threading on or around the treated area for 2 weeks
  • No Neosporin or Polysporin on the treated area
  • Do apply cool compresses to area (no ice!) for comfort
  • Do take an anti-inflammatory if necessary after your procedure
  • Do take an OTC antihistamine if necessary (Claritin, Benadryl)
  • Do keep your tattoo clean. You may wash the area with a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil to gently clean the treated area within the first 24hrs after your procedure to remove excess fluids, debris,and to reduce scabbing. Do not scrub or rub vigorously. Always use a clean laundered towel or clean paper towel to pat dry. After washing please follow instructional handout given to you after your appointment.
  • Do apply aftercare ointments, specified by your technician, with clean hands.

What to Expect...
THE HEALING PROCESS

Your color will appear darker after your procedure. Do not be alarmed. Your permanent makeup will lighten. Your color may deepen in hue within the first few days. You will experience some swelling, redness, tenderness, and exfoliation on the treated area after your procedure. Please remember everyone heals differently. Age, genetics and lifestyle, can/will contribute to your healing time and your retention. Remember to be kind to yourself, rest when needed, try to stay healthy so your procedure can heal properly.

EYEBROWS

DAY-1-3 BROWS WILL OXIDIZE AND APPEAR DARKER AND BOLDER IN COLOR. HAIRSTROKES APPEAR RAISED AND THICKER IN TEXTURE.
DAY- 3-5 BROWS START TO EXFOLIATE AND LIGHTEN. YOU WILL FEEL TIGHTNESS AND ITCHINESS. PLEASE DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK!!!
DAY- 5-7 BROWS ARE EXFOLIATING AND START TO PEEL LIKE A SUNBURN. YOU WILL SEE COLORED FLAKES COMING OFF. PLEASE DO NOT PICK THEM OFF! LET YOUR SKIN SHED NATURALLY. ALSO DO NOT OVERUSE YOUR OINTMENTS. OVERUSE OF OINTMENTS WILL AFFECT YOUR HEALING PROCESS. LESS IS MORE.
NOTE: BOTH YOUR BROWS MAY NOT PEEL EVENLY AND AT THE SAME RATE. DO NOT BE ALARMED. THIS IS 100 % NORMAL.
DAY- 7-14 YOUR BROWS ARE TOWARDS THE END OF YOUR EXFOLIATION PROCESS.COLOR FINISHES FLAKING OFF AND BROWS MAY APPEAR TOO LIGHT OR UNEVEN IN HUE WITH “SPOTS” MISSING . COLOR MAY APPEAR GREYISH, PINK, OR ORANGEY IN COLOR. HAIRSTROKES MAY APPEAR “BLURRY.” PLEASE BE PATIENT. OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT TWO WEEKS YOUR COLOR WILL DARKEN AND CLARIFY AS YOUR SKIN HEALS.
DAY- 14-30 THE COLOR AND DEFINITION RETURNS TO YOUR BROWS. HAIRSTROKES CLARIFY AND HAVE DEFINITION.
DAY -30-40 YOUR HEALING PROCESS IS NOW COMPLETE AND YOUR BROWS ARE FULLY HEALED. AFTER THE HEALING PROCESS IS FINISHED, YOU MAY ACCESS YOUR EYEBROWS. ANY ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE AND ADDRESSED AT YOUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT.

EYELINER

DAY-1 SWELLING, TENDERNESS, SLIGHT BRUISING AROUND THE TREATED AREA. EYELIDS FEEL HEAVY. DRAMATIC HEAVY EYE MAKEUP LOOK. LINER APPEARS THICK AND HEAVILY LINED.
DAY-2 SLIGHT SWELLING. EYES LOOK AS IF YOU’VE BEEN CRYING. EYELINER STILL HEAVY AND DRAMATIC.
DAY- 3-4 EYELINER FEELS TIGHT, ITCHY, AND EXFOLIATION PROCESS BEGINS. PIGMENT SHEDS AND COLORED FLAKES APPEAR.
PLEASE DO NOT PICK AT THE FLAKES! DO NOT OVERUSE OINTMENTS.
DAY- 4-5 EYELINER IS EXFOLIATING. COLOR UNDERNEATH MAY APPEAR GREYISH OR TOO LIGHT.
DAY- 6-10 EYELINER APPEARS LIGHT AND SOFT.
DAY- 10-30 COLOR AND DEFINITION RETURN. NOW IS THE TIME TO ACCESS YOUR EYELINER. ANY ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE AND ADDRESSED AT YOUR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT.
